Hey There,

Meet Amanda Ferrara, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | #8771 Tennessee

"You don’t have to stay stuck in the same cycles. There’s room to breathe, space to grow, and a path forward that honors both where you’ve been and where you’re going." —Amanda

Amanda Ferrara, LCSW

Licensed Therapist and Coach

Hi, I’m Amanda Ferrara! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, coach, and founder of Rooted & Rising. I walk alongside women and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by life’s challenges. Many come carrying silent wounds, unspoken pressure, or relational patterns that just won’t budge. Together, we slow down and take a clear look at what’s happening beneath the surface.

My style is honest and relational. We won’t dance around the hard stuff, but we won’t rush past it either. For women, that often means exploring identity, purpose, and inner healing. For couples, it’s about rebuilding connection, navigating conflict, and finding new ways to relate. I’ll meet you where you are and walk with you toward where you want to go. Sessions are focused on meaningful, lasting growth. As a Christian, I am happy to integrate faith into our work when desired, but there’s never any pressure. This is your journey, and we’ll walk it together at your pace.

I believe real change happens when we stay grounded in truth and lean into grace, especially when things get tough. If you’re ready to do the work, I’m ready to walk beside you.

Mission Statement

At Rooted & Rising, I believe real change starts in the stories we carry, the values we hold, and the parts of ourselves we’re still learning to understand. Some come here to heal what’s behind them. Others are ready to figure out what’s next. Either way, this is a space to grow with intention. Through therapy and coaching that honors your faith when desired, I walk with women and couples as they reconnect, refocus, and rise into the life they were made for. You don’t have to do it alone.

Why This Work Matters to Me

I didn’t come into this work from a textbook. I came into it after living it.

With over a decade in the nonprofit world, becoming a business owner, eight years of marriage, and caring for two fur babies, I know what it means to carry a lot at once; responsibility, grief, hope, fear, and the question of whether things can really change. I’ve worked through my own trauma, done the deep work in therapy, and faced life’s hardest moments with nothing but grit and grace. I’ve learned how faith can grow even when everything else feels like it’s falling apart. I’ve sat in burnout, loss, and silence, and still found my way through.

Because of that, I don’t shy away from the hard things. I welcome them. Nothing is off-limits here. The “taboo” topics? The things no one else talks about? You don’t have to carry them alone. I’m here to do the hard work with you.

Professionally, I combine clinical training with a focus on the brain-body connection. Equally important, I offer a space that is safe, honest, and free from shame. You get to show up exactly as you are. No fixing. No performing.

Healing is always possible. No matter how long it’s been or how heavy it feels, change is within reach. It takes work, yes, but you’re not doing it alone.

What Guides My Work

Every person has a unique story. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re navigating trauma, life transitions, or feeling like you’re just holding it all together, I take the time to understand your whole picture. Your past, your values, your pace, and your goals.

I work with women and couples, each carrying their own version of “too much.” In every session, my goal is the same: to create space for truth, clarity, and growth. I’m committed to ongoing learning, investing in advanced trauma training, case consultation, and reflective supervision to stay sharp, ethical, and effective.

Here are the values that keep me rooted in this work:

Compassion without judgment

You don’t have to justify why something is hard for it to matter. I lead with empathy and meet you where you are, with all the messy emotions and stuck points.

Trust that’s earned, not expected

You don’t have to share everything on day one. Trust builds through consistency, clarity, and care, one step at a time.

Connection that’s real

This isn’t surface-level work. I show up with honesty and openness, and I create space for you to do the same. Growth begins when you feel truly seen.

Safety that runs deep

Emotional safety is non-negotiable. This is a space where your whole self is welcome... your questions, your past, your faith, and your fears.
