Licensed Therapist and Coach
Hi, I’m Amanda Ferrara! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, coach, and founder of Rooted & Rising. I walk alongside women and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by life’s challenges. Many come carrying unspoken wounds, unresolved tension, or patterns that feel impossible to change. Together, we slow down and notice what’s happening beneath the surface, then create a safe space for healing.
My approach is relational and grounded. We’ll face the hard things with honesty, without rushing past them. For women, this often means exploring identity, purpose, and inner healing. For couples, it’s about deepening connection, navigating conflict, and learning to relate in ways that feel safe and responsive. I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward the connection, clarity, and growth you’re seeking. Sessions focus on building lasting change through understanding, attunement, and emotional safety.
As a Christian, I integrate faith into our work when desired, providing a space for both spiritual and emotional growth, never pressure, just presence. Real transformation happens when we stay grounded in truth, lean into grace, and practice safety in our own hearts and bodies. If you’re ready to do this work, I’m ready to walk with you.

Mission Statement
At Rooted & Rising, real change begins in the stories we carry, the values we hold, and the parts of ourselves we’re still learning to understand. Some come ready to heal what’s behind them. Others are here to discover what’s next. This is a space to grow with intention, at your own pace, and with emotional safety as the foundation.
Through therapy and coaching that can honor your faith when desired, I walk alongside women and couples as they reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with the life they were made for. You don’t have to do it alone; every step is taken together, with care, presence, and understanding.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I didn’t come to this work from a textbook. I came to it through life.
With over a decade in the nonprofit world, building a business, eight years of marriage, and caring for two fur babies, I know what it’s like to carry a lot at once... responsibility, grief, hope, fear, and the question of whether things can truly change. I’ve navigated my own trauma, leaned into the hard work of therapy, and faced life’s heaviest moments with both grit and grace. I’ve learned that faith can grow even when everything else feels like it’s falling apart. I’ve sat in burnout, loss, and silence, and still found my way through.
Because of this, I don’t shy away from the hard things. I welcome them. Nothing is off-limits here. The “taboo” topics, the things no one else talks about, you don’t have to carry them alone. I’m here to do the hard work with you, step by step.
Professionally, I combine clinical training with a focus on the body-mind connection, guiding you to find safety in your own body while exploring your story. More than that, I offer a space that is honest, grounded, and free from shame. You get to show up exactly as you are. No fixing, no performing.
Healing is always possible. No matter how long it’s been or how heavy it feels, change is within reach, and you won’t have to do it alone.

What Guides My Work
Every person has a unique story. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re navigating trauma, life transitions, or feeling like you’re just holding it all together, I take the time to understand your whole picture. Your past, your values, your pace, and your goals.
I work with women and couples, each carrying their own version of “too much.” In every session, my goal is the same: to create space for truth, clarity, and growth. I’m committed to ongoing learning, investing in advanced trauma training, case consultation, and reflective supervision to stay sharp, ethical, and effective.
Here are the values that keep me rooted in this work:
Compassion without judgment
You don’t have to justify why something is hard for it to matter. I lead with empathy and meet you where you are, with all the messy emotions and stuck points.
Trust that’s earned, not expected
You don’t have to share everything on day one. Trust builds through consistency, clarity, and care, one step at a time.
Connection that’s real
This isn’t surface-level work. I show up with honesty and openness, and I create space for you to do the same. Growth begins when you feel truly seen.
Safety that runs deep
Emotional safety is non-negotiable. This is a space where your whole self is welcome... your questions, your past, your faith, and your fears.
